Milda Baronaitė-Marcinkevičė

I am a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist candidate (Jungian psychotherapy). I try to be warm and present with my clients. I don't pretend I know how everyone should live their lives, but I don't shy away from sharing what I notice during sessions. When starting work with a new person, I try to listen carefully and usually adapt to what the person brings to the table—for those who need to talk, I can give them more space, and if someone finds it harder to talk about themselves, I ask questions about their current problems and strengths, as well as the most important events in their past. I don't shy away from humor and spontaneity when they arise naturally with the client.

I am a fairly rational person, but I also have another side that I cultivate in my personal therapy and therapy studies — the language of feelings, which is very unlike the language of "logic" that we are most accustomed to these days. I believe that the subconscious and its various manifestations play an important role in people's lives, so in my long-term work, I invite clients to get to know that part of themselves better (through dreams, associations and images, or simply everyday events).

In cases of crisis or where you come with a specific problem, we will focus more on solving that specific problem, helping you find stability, survive difficult symptoms, and alleviate them. In long-term work, we can delve deeper into relationship dynamics, your recurring patterns, dreams, and feelings that arise in therapy.

I am interested in the latest psychological research, I am pursuing further qualifications, and I adhere to the code of ethics for psychologists. I entered psychology after working in another field (my first degree is in philology), so I have experience in office work, living abroad, and so on.

When to contact me?

I invite you to seek counselling if you are going through a difficult or challenging period in your life (crisis, loss, life or relationship changes), if you are experiencing emotional difficulties (anxiety, panic attacks, depression), if you are having difficulties in your relationships, or if you want to get to know yourself better. I am interested in topics that are often relevant to LGBT+ people (identity, reactions of others, coming out) and welcome people of different identities.

I counsel adults.
